Rashtrotthana Sahitya was established in 1965, in an atmosphere of lack of nationalistic ideals and patriotic spirit in the entire Nation, with the aim of creating and promoting rich literature in Kannada language that enshrines in the hearts and minds of the people pride in Indian history, heritage, values of humanism and universal brotherhood through its publications and activities.

Rashtrotthana Sahitya publishes books on various topics such as history, culture, spirituality, nationalism, social issues, biographies and children’s literature. It also organizes literary events, workshops, seminars and essay writing competitions for school and college students to foster a culture of reading and writing among the younger generations.
